Position Description:

The Chief of Police is the ranking officer of the Nashua Police Department. As the executive and administrative head, he is responsible to the Police Commission for the proper functioning and effective management of the Nashua Police Department.

Relevant Work Experience: 

Sworn in as Chief On January 1, 2012– present

Hired in December of 1982 and rose through the ranks being promoted to sergeant in 1995, Lieutenant in 2000, Captain in 2004 and Deputy Chief in January of 2008. Since being promoted to Deputy Chief he spent time as Deputy Chief of Uniform Operations as well as Deputy Chief of Operations before being sworn in as Chief of Police.

In his earlier years he served as a long time member of the Special Reaction Team and acted as the teams commander after being promoted to the rank of Captain.

Educational Highlights:

Graduated from the U.N.H. with a degree in Applied Science in 1979

Graduated from the 63rd N.H. Police Academy

Graduated from the Command Training Program at Babson College

Graduated from POLEX (Police Executive Training) affiliated with Penn State College

Service and Accomplishments:

Member of the Nashua Exchange Club and has been the chair of various programs of the club such as the Community Service Awards and A.C.E. (Accepting the Challenge of Excellence)award programs.

Recently became a member of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Nashua.
